Kelly Jago, MD
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Jago received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA and did her ObGyn residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA. She then served our country providing disaster relief after Katrina. After three years in private practice in Jacksonville, she found her home here at ObGyn Associates of St. Augustine in 2011.

Kelly has a wealth of experience, a warm manner and a careful approach to medicine that makes her an excellent physician. She enjoys all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, but has a passion for surgery and adolescent gynecology.
Rachel Kaplan, D.O.
Dr. Rachel Kaplan is new to the practice and delighted to be here. Dr. Kaplan graduated from college and medical school in the blue grass state of Kentucky. While completing her residency in the Detroit area, Dr. Kaplan enjoyed being chief resident and worked to cultivate a productive learning environment for her residents. After residency, Dr. Kaplan returned to her home town of Wilmington, Ohio where she was in private practice for 5 years. She developed a passion and enthusiasm for all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. She loved serving the community where she was raised, but after several cold winters she and her family decided to move south. We are happy that Dr. Kaplan and her family have chosen to call St. Augustine home.
Dr. Kaplan enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 small children. She enjoys exercising, the ocean and getting to know St. Augustine.

Laila Needham, MD
Dr. Needham graduated with a degree in Biochemistry and Genetics from the University of Reims, France. She attended and graduated from University Medical School of King Hassan II in Casablanca, Morocco. Trained as a resident at Franklin Square Hospital Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

OB-GYN has always fascinated her at an early age. She knew one day she would be set to take care of my family of six sisters. Enjoying all aspects of OBGYN. In particular minimally invasive surgeries and primary infertility. In 2009 she found herself opening her private practice in Palatka and St. Augustine.
“My life is complete…. My husband, teenage daughter, 4 dogs, 3 horses, 2 cats, and a bunch of swans. In my spare time I enjoy time at the beach, boating, fishing, and watching basketball games or good movies with my family.
Eric S. Pulsfus, MD
Dr. Pulsfus’ practice incorporates all aspects of general gynecology and obstetrics. He has a special interest in menopausal medicine and urinary incontinence, including surgical and non-surgical treatments. Other areas of interest are obstetrics and laparoscopic surgery.

Eric spent part of his childhood in our own St. Augustine and attended Mill Creek Elementary and Nease High School. While raising two son’s he and his wife enjoy golf, travel and entertaining.
Thomas Searle, MD
Dr. Tom Searle finds himself in St. Augustine via an unconventional path. He was born in Belize, Central America to a Welsh colonial father and a Spanish colonial mother. He completed his education at the age of 12 in the United Kingdom. After graduating from Aberdeen University in Scotland and practicing in the United Kingdom, Dr. Searle relocated to the United States. This necessitated a second residency which was completed in June 2007 in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Searle enjoys all areas of Obstetrics and Gynecology but is particularly interested in laparoscopic procedures and surgery to correct urinary incontinence. Accompanying Dr. Searle to St. Augustine is his wife Lorraine and their three sons.
Karen Toppi, MD
We are so delighted to announce the merger of our practice and Dr. Karen Toppi’s practice in Palm Coast. She has been practicing office gynecology only since 2004. She is well known for her individual based compassionate care for her patients and was named Top Doc of Volusia/Flagler Counties by the News Journal.

When not caring for her patients Dr. Toppi enjoys being on the water with her paddle board or kayak and has recently started a nonprofit organization, Hope to Help Foundation.
Susan Yarian, MD
Dr. Yarian is a University of Florida graduate, with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. She worked as an engineer for a number of years before pursuing her medical degree at the University of South Carolina where she also went on to complete her residency. As the founding partner of ObGyn Associates of St Augustine, she has been gratified to watch the practice grow from a one doctor, one midwife office in 2001 to our current practice. She is particularly interested in high-risk obstetrics, but enjoys all aspects of gynecologic care. Even after 20 years of private practice, she feels it is a privilege to be part of women’s lives in such an important way.

Susan’s first love is her family; she and her husband are proud parents of two fine daughters. She enjoys volleyball, Ashtanga yoga, horseback riding and wishes she could tap dance but finds that enthusiasm doesn’t always equal ability.
